The Development of Robotic Wheelchair Controlled by Voice Through A Wireless Device

Abstract

This research aims to develop a robotic wheelchair to move people with disabilities through voice control over wireless devices. The wheelchair will move in the direction we ordered it. In this research, we developed a system for receiving voice commands from wireless devices. To create a speech recognition system. Together with Raspberry Pi 3, Model B and Python control the movement of the wheel. The experiment showed that the movement of the robotic wheelchair with Thai voice command is accurate to convert the sound into text to instruct the robot to move to the desired direction is 100 percent. The movement of the robotic wheelchair with English voice commands is accurate to convert the sound into text to instruct the robot to move to the desired direction is 80 percent. And the movement of the robotic wheelchair with Thai and English voice commands is accurate to convert the sound into text to instruct the robot to move to the desired direction is 70 percent. Error converting voice commands occurs if the voice command is not clear or in a very noisy area.
